Salar de Uyuni
The salt flats of Bolivia was a 3 day, 2 night tour in a land rover which was certainly close to the end of its days. Lakes, the bog of eternal stench (mmmm sulphur), flamingos, llamas, absurd changes in altitude (we climbed over 2500m in one day and this led to altitude sickness which took the form of a very unfunny and insanely painful headache), perspective madness and crazy photos, 14ft high Cacti, bizarre creatures that look like the offspring of a rabbit and a kangaroo, and a train grave yard. This tour despite the altitude sickness is one of the best things that we have ever done or seen.
