By this point the hour glass is nearly up so we elected to go from Puno to Mancora in one epic 43 hour bus ride. Yes that’s right 43 hours James. It sounds horrific and although it was far from a day at the theme park the bus was very comfortable, the food was very edible and the movies were very watchable. We arrived in Mancora, a beach town almost 2 days later. Swimming in the pool and the waves, daily volleyball and several cold Brahmas soon washed away the journey. We stayed for a few more days than expected as is often the way when you find somewhere special and we happened to be there just in time for the full moon party. I spoke to the boss Diego about Djing and managed to get a slot. Despite some inevitable technical difficulties and no CD decks another Dj called Ricky let me use his tunes and we rocked it until the early hours. I have not played a just electronica set for over 10 years and I really forgot just how much I love it.
That concludes a crazy blog catch up that feels like when your room has been a bomb site for way to long and you finally get round to sorting it all out and now everything is folded correctly, clean and in its right place you make a little promise to yourself that you will stay on top of it and never let it get that bad again. I suppose only time will tell if this one is true.
Next up the Galapagos!!!
